“Don’t call me nee-chan! Who’s your nee-chan?!” Fanny crossed her arms, the thought of Lin Haolin causing her to lose face in front of her brother made her so angry she was on the verge of shouting at him.
Lin Haolin conjured up a lollipop from nowhere and handed it to her, smiling ingratiatingly.
“Here, I brought it for you, your favourite strawberry flavour, to take the edge off?”
Fanny grabbed the lollipop and took it out of the wrapper and into her mouth, the sweetness overflowed, but she was still angry: “Don’t think you can buy me off with a lollipop, let me make it clear that you are not allowed to tell anyone outside that we are friends in the future, I don’t have friends like you who don’t want to get ahead, if my parents find out, they will definitely think I have learned badly.”
Lin Haolin tossed his hair and smiled with an indifferent face.
He leaned back on the sofa, folded his two long legs and smiled wickedly, “It’s just that I did poorly in the exams, look at you describing me like a demon or a devil, to tell you the truth, it’s not that I can’t learn, it’s just that I find those things too easy and don’t care.”
“I pooh!” Fanny almost spat the lollipop in her mouth in his face.
She looked up in the direction of the kitchen to make sure Fanny wasn’t looking out, reached down to take the lollipop and immediately kicked Lin Haolin.
The hand that was carrying the lollipop pointed at his unbridled and unruly face.
“The person who is at the bottom of the class in every exam for the whole year, actually has the face to say that, you don’t mind being ashamed, I am ashamed for you, you fail the next exam again, don’t expect me to give you a pass on your practice report!”
“And what if I pass by passing? Is there a reward for that?” Lin Haolin asked rhetorically.
For a moment, Fanny was stumped.
Then she thought, “Can this guy pass the exam? I’m afraid that even a sow could get on a tree.
He’s just trying to keep his mouth shut and not be too embarrassed.
“If you can really pass the exam, I’ll recognize you as a friend and I won’t laugh at you in the future, okay?” When Fanny finished, she rolled her eyes at the sky, not half expecting anything from Lin Haolin in her heart, purely as if she was doing a good deed and encouraging the lost boy.
Lin Haolin, on the other hand, stood up from the sofa with his thighs slapped in full vigour and extended his little finger towards her, “Pull the hook, it’s a deal.”
Fanny had just reached out and touched his finger when there was a sudden loud bang from the kitchen, like a pot falling to the floor.
“Brother!”
Fanny snapped back to her senses and without hesitation, withdrew her hand and ran towards the kitchen.
Lin Haolin stared at his little finger for a couple of seconds, narrowed his eyes, and followed suit towards the kitchen.
The two walked to the kitchen and at a glance they saw the pot that had fallen to the floor and the hot water that had spilled out of it. Fanny was standing next to him, his trouser legs a little wet, and he was pressing his hand at the moment.
He was standing next to him, his trouser legs a little wet, but he was pressing his hand at the moment. Fanny became anxious and went up to him and grabbed his hand to look at it.
Fanny’s eyebrows knitted slightly and she let her pull her hand under the tap to rinse the cool water, her gaze faintly cast a sidelong glance at Lin Haolin who was standing in the doorway.
His eyes were full of scorn.
He had heard what they had just said in the living room.
This man planked half truths …… was after all someone he could not see through.
“I’ll get the medicine chest ……,” Fanny was just about to run outside when Van stopped her.
“It’s just an accidental burn, it’s fine, it just might not be convenient to handle the ingredients, I need someone to help me.”
“I’ll do it.” Fanny was just about to roll up her sleeves when Van had smiled and pressed her hand.
“I’m afraid Dad will be angry if he finds out that I, as an older brother, let you do your own chores, it’s not like you’re the only one here anymore.” Fanfan’s thin lips parted slightly and his gaze stayed on Lin Haolin.
