The door was opened and the man dodged in, dragging Cuichao in with him.
The door was re-closed and the man who opened it led them to a room, opened the curtain and gestured for them to enter.
“Master Wang ……”
The man, with an obvious air of flattery, nodded to the man sitting inside the room.
Cui Qiao hung her head, her hand nervously gripping her lapel.
“Still not calling for someone?”
The man glared at her.
Boss Wang waved his hand, “Forget it, did you bring the recipe?”
“I brought it, I brought it.”
The man pushed Cui Qiao forward, “My sister remembered it all.”
Boss Wang looked up and the man guarding the door immediately went and brought over paper and pencil to set it up.
He picked up the pen and dipped it into the ink, “Speak.”
“I, I want a hundred taels of silver.”
There was a silence in the room.
Boss Wang seemed not to have heard Cuichao’s words, “What did you say.”
Cui Qiao spoke a little louder, “I want a hundred taels of silver.”
Boss Wang snorted, put the pen down, took out a handkerchief to wipe his hands and sat back down, “You are trying to raise the price?”
“No, no.”
The man returned to his senses and hurriedly explained, glaring back at Cui Qiao, “What are you talking about? Why don’t you tell us the recipe quickly?”
Cui Qiao bit her lips and did not say anything.
When the man saw this, he raised his hand to hit her.
“Okay.”
The man hurriedly dropped his hand and curtly said something-
Boss Wang shook the hem of his coat and looked to Cui Qiao, “Your elder brother and I have agreed on ten taels of silver for one recipe, fifty taels for five.”
Cui Qiao’s mouth twitched, and when he saw the man looking at him viciously, he moved to the side in fear, “The prescriptions are in my head, in my head, he, he doesn’t count.”
“You stinking girl!”
The man’s hand rose again.
Cuichao took several steps back in fear, but didn’t say anything to back off.
Wang’s eyes narrowed.
“I, I signed a death deed, once the master’s family finds out I will be killed alive, I have to leave a sum of silver to my parents.”
“I have my parents to support them, where do they need the silver? Say it quickly or I’ll teach you a lesson!”
The man said viciously.
Cui Qiao was so frightened that her body trembled a few times, but she still didn’t say anything.
Boss Wang leaned back in his chair, “This is not in accordance with the rules, a negotiated fifty taels is fifty taels, I won’t give a penny more.”
“Then I won’t sell it.”
Cui Qiao turned around and walked out, but the man caught up with her in three or two steps and grabbed her by the hair, “Stinky girl, it’s against you!”
Boss Wang looked on with cold eyes.
“If you dare to make a move on me, I won’t say a single word about the recipe.”
Cui Qiao covered her head with both hands, trying to yank her hair out of the man’s hands and threaten him.
The man was annoyed, but did not dare to make another move against her. One recipe for ten taels, five recipes would be fifty taels, enough for him to squander for some time.
Cui Qiao yanked her hair out of his hands and headed for the door.
“Stop!”
The man guarding the door reached out to stop her.
“For the sake of your filial piety, I’ll give you ten taels more.”
Cui Qiao did not relent, “One hundred taels, not a penny less.”
The shopkeeper Wang took a deep breath and suppressed the anger in his heart. The man curtly tried to say something, but was frightened by a cold look from him and did not dare to speak.
“One must know how to stop in moderation, it is not good to be too greedy.”
“I, I just want to leave more silver for my parents to save their lives.”
Boss Wang sneered, “Are you sure that the silver will fall into their hands?”
Cui Qiao bit her lip and did not speak, her attitude was clear, she wanted a hundred taels.
The hand of Boss Wang on the table tapped on the desk, and with each tap he made, the man’s heart trembled along with him, lest he should say no to buying in a fit of anger.
“Eighty taels.”
The man was overjoyed, covering Cui Qiao’s mouth and pulling her outside, “I’ll go back tonight and have your sister-in-law heat up your parents’ house and cook them a few more delicious dishes, every day from now on.”
Thirty taels more ah, he could not let this matter go yellow no matter what. ”
Cui Qiao’s lips were bitten, and it was a while before she nodded her head.
The man immediately pulled her into the room and nodded curtly to Master Wang.
“I want the silver first.”
Boss Wang ordered someone to bring it, and without waiting for the man to reach out, Cui Qiao snatched it over and put it away.
The man glared at her, but did not grab it. When he went out later, all he had to do was threaten his parents, and this girl would still give it to him.
He got up, pulled up his sleeves, picked up a pen, dipped it in ink again, wrote down the recipe Cui Qiao said, and handed it to the man guarding the door, “Take it to the front, have them make some, the price is half as cheap as over there.”
The man froze for a moment and curtly bent towards the shopkeeper Wang and hurriedly chased him out.
Cui Qiao had already opened the door and darted out. The man was furious and his feet flew, seeing that he was about to catch up with her.
A carriage drove past them and Qing’er, who was sitting at the front of the carriage, was surprised to see Cui Qiao, “Cui Qiao, what are you doing here?”
“I, I ……”
Cui Qiao’s face was white and she subconsciously covered the silver ticket in her arms.
Qing’er signaled the carriage driver to stop, she jumped down from the carriage and helped Cui Qiao, “Is it that you are still sick?”
Cui Qiao nodded her head in panic.
Qing’er helped her into the carriage and the man watched as the carriage went away.
Inside the carriage, Cui Qiao knelt and handed the silver ticket to Song Wan Yue.
“You take it.”
Cui Qiao didn’t dare to believe it.
The carriage arrived at the door of the pastry shop to put Cui Qiao and Qing’er down, turned the carriage around and came to a quiet stop in front of the pastry shop on the street.
Half an hour later, five fresh pastries came out of the oven and the fellows cut them all into small pieces on plates and set them on the counter for the people in the queue to taste for free.
Although most of them went over there, there were some greedy people queuing over here, and when they heard that they were allowed to try them for free, they all came forward again, took a small piece of each and put it into their mouths.
“Miss Sun, someone has eaten.”
The coachman reported in a low voice.
Song Wangyue lifted the carriage curtain slightly, saw the scene outside and curled her lips.
“Delicious.”
The crowd praised it as they tasted it.
The man was smiling, “Ours is not only delicious, it’s also cheaper, cheaper than over there. ……”
Half hadn’t even finished speaking when he saw the man who had just eaten the most cover his stomach, beads of sweat rolling down his forehead.
“This pastry is poisonous!”
No sooner had the words been said than he collapsed to the ground.
The rest of the group froze, and before they could throw away the pastry in their hands, they felt their own stomachs rise in pain as well, and they all fell to the ground.
The fellow who had just spoken was so appalled that he forgot to react.
It was another fellow who reacted and ran to the back yard with a crawl. Boss Wang heard the report and hurried over, and when he saw the scene before him, his brain exploded.
