I froze and raised my eyes, the lights in the room were all turned on, somewhat blindingly, the curtains that had been blown around by the wind were also tied up, and the windows were left open.
“It’s me, don’t be afraid!” A low, soothing voice came to my ears.
I took a few breaths and adjusted to the light before I could see clearly that the person in front of me was Fu Shen Yan.

As an afterthought, I looked at the puddle of water seeping in on the floor and realised that what I had just seen in the dark wasn’t any blood at all, but water that had seeped in because it was raining so hard outside and I had left the window open.
Seeing me staring at the water, Fu Shen Yan frowned slightly, “Are you sleepy?”
I answered, “How did you get in?” He hadn’t just come in through the bedroom door.
He raised a hand to wipe his nose and spoke, “The two balconies are connected, so come over when appropriate.”
I froze and frowned at him, “Fu Shen Yan, you’re trespassing.”
He didn’t care, his gaze fell on my elbow and he frowned, “How did you get hurt?”
I realized as an afterthought that I had a large bruise on my arm, and before I could react.
I was so shocked that I avoided it, “Fu Shen Yan, you’re a rogue ……”
Seeing his pair of dark eyes looking at me, his handsome eyebrows furrowed, he then got up and went out from my bedroom.

A few minutes later, he returned again, with the medicine box in his hand, sitting on the edge of the bed, methodically rubbing my medicine.
