Never Say Never Chapter 899-900

Chapter 899

It was a night of talking until dawn, and early in the morning Long Tai Po went to the village to borrow a mobile phone.

He came back around noon and was a little frustrated that he hadn’t borrowed a phone, but he did say, “But there seems to be a policeman in the village, so why don’t you go over and take a look?”

Everyone was happy to hear this, but it was Ouyang Nuo who became alert and said, “Why are the police suddenly here?”

Long Tai Bao froze for a moment and said, “It says that someone from above is looking for someone, I’m not sure yet, why don’t you go over and take a look.”

Looking for someone?

A few of us looked at each other, a little confused for a while, it’s not reasonable to think that those people would come that far to look for someone here!

Let alone the fact that a few of us had walked for a few days and gone over an unknown number of mountains, we were all so far away, and they had gone to such great lengths to come and look for them, not afraid of alerting people?

“What’s wrong?” Seeing that the four of us didn’t look too good, Long Tai Bao asked with some confusion.

Not wanting to cause any unnecessary trouble for Long Tai Bao either, we did answer tacitly, “Nothing, nothing!”

Ouyang Nuo is the most vigilant person, she does not trust others easily, after a pause, she still spoke, “No matter what, we still have to be careful, it is not possible, we can continue to go forward, we will always meet our compatriots when we go to the city, this is the border, we can go to the embassy to find someone to ask for help.”

For a moment everyone nodded, this was probably the only way we could think of.

With that decided, and after saying goodbye to Long Tai Po and Long Yue, we hurriedly prepared to leave.

But before we could go out, there were urgent footsteps outside.

“What should we do?” Shi Rui panicked a little and tugged at the corner of my coat with a deadly grip.

“Let’s see first!” I opened my mouth and locked eyes with Ouyang Nuo before walking towards the door.

Long Tai Bao’s house was a narrow place, and it was basically impossible to hide someone.

Besides, if we hid here, if those who came really had ulterior motives and knew that the father and daughter had taken us in, they would definitely hurt them.

So, we all walked out, and in the courtyard stood five large, dark-skinned men wearing black police uniforms with badges attached to their chests.

“Burmese police!” Ouyang Noor frowned and walked out first, looking at the men who had come.

When the man took a look at a few of us, he froze and opened his mouth to speak a bunch of words to Long Tai Po, as we basically couldn’t understand what he was saying because of the language barrier.

In a few moments, the man in the lead looked at us and said something, seeing that none of us answered, but just looked at him somewhat blankly.

In a moment he reacted to the fact that we did not speak the language, so he turned to the yellow-skinned man he had brought behind him and said something.

The yellow-skinned man looked at us and spoke, “You’re all Chinese smugglers?”

Ouyang Nuo bristled, “Dude, talk properly, we’re not smugglers, we’re fleeing for our lives.”

The man frowned slightly and looked to the policeman who also said a bunch of things, the policeman looked at us, paused slightly and said something to the yellow-skinned man again.

After a while it was barely clear that someone had approached the Burmese police to search the border and say that someone was missing over here.

The exchange came down to sounding less like bad guys and more like family members of a few of us looking for each other.

Ouyang Nuo looked at a few of us and spoke, “Which one of you has family members who are so powerful that they can contact the Burmese police?”

A few people froze, and Yang Ting was a little unsure, “I don’t really know about that, my dad works for the government at the border, but I don’t think she deserves me being brought here, and it’s unlikely she knows I’ll be in Burma!”

Chapter 900

Shi Rui shrugged her shoulders, “You guys don’t look at me, my parents are ordinary people, they are all around the coast, I was cheated out of my life, the most they can think of is to call the police, it’s unlikely that the domestic police will find their way here.”

All of us looked at Duan Tong for a moment and saw that she was still calmly reciting the Buddhist scriptures, and when she saw everyone looking at her, she froze for a moment and said, “Blessed by the Buddha!”

A few of us were speechless for a while, looking at each other and simply not asking her.

Ouyang Nuo looked at me and narrowed her eyes, “Shen Shu, you never seem to have told us about your past or your family?”

I faintly froze and smiled, “I was born in a small county in Huai’an, I was an orphan, my grandmother raised me, my grandmother is no longer alive, I work by myself in A city, I don’t know the people in the company very well, I guess not many people would notice if I suddenly disappeared!”

Probably not expecting such an outcome, Ouyang Nuo took my hand and patted it, “Sorry, I didn’t mean to mention it.”

I smiled lightly, “It’s nothing, it’s normal.”

For a while, we all thought that Yang Ting’s parents had found some traces of her and had come to Myanmar to look for her.

Seeing this, we said goodbye to the Lang family and left this remote mountain village with a few policemen.

In the car.

After a short period of happiness, everyone was suddenly silent, and Ouyang Nuo spoke, “I hope we can all go home safely this time, and if we are all alive in the future, we should keep in touch.”

Shi Rui laughed, “Surely we will all be alive.”

The car took about five or six hours to get to town, it was supposed to go to Monsa, but a few people took us straight to Minda, near the coast.

Sensing that something was wrong, Ouyang Noi looked at the yellow-skinned man and said, “What are you doing bypassing Naypyidaw to bring us to Minda?”

The yellow-skinned man gave her a look, but he slightly mimicked her eyes and said, “It seems you don’t know anything about Burma!”

Ouyang Nuo frowned and looked at the man, “You’re not police?”

The yellow-skinned man looked at her with a raised eyebrow and sneered, “We are police officers, but not the ones who will take you home.

“Let us off!” All at once Yang Ting began to shout, breaking down a little.

Shi Rui was timid and her body shivered a bit as she cried, and Duan Tong started reciting Buddhist scriptures again.

Ouyang Nuo’s face was white, his hope of going home was suddenly rubbed out, and he broke down a little.

He couldn’t say a word for a while, and looked at the man with anger in his eyes and hated him to death.

I looked at the man with my hands clenched together, finding my composure, and said, “So where are you taking us?”

The man’s gaze fell on me and the corners of his lips rose as he smiled, “You’re Shen Shu, aren’t you?”

I frowned, “You know me?”

He shrugged his shoulders, “No, but I’ve heard that the police in Mensa are looking for you, and it looks like you should be worth a lot of money.”

It was unlikely that he was looking for me on purpose, either that or maybe he was looking for me after Fu Shen Yan had already found out that I had been taken to Burma.

Seeing that I didn’t seem too sure, the yellow-skinned man said, “Don’t worry, Miss Shen, I don’t dare to say whether the few of them will live or die, as far as your life or death is concerned I can guarantee it, as long as you don’t do anything wrong, when the few of us get the money, you will definitely return home unharmed.”
