Venerable Jing Qing said, “Another method is to abandon all the body’s senses and distractions to the outside world, and use a method similar to the Taoist method of internal voyeurism to allow the consciousness to return to the sea of consciousness, once the consciousness returns to the sea of consciousness, it will be found that, originally, a person is looking at the sky full of stars with his eyes open, and although he is looking at the universe, what he is seeing is only a speck of dust in the universe, but after the consciousness has returned to the sea of consciousness, the person is like closing his eyes and looking at the universe beyond. is like closing his eyes and looking at the entire universe from outside the universe! That sense of openness, where the whole universe is in front of one’s eyes, is a new realm never seen before, and I think that that may be the unconscious realm that the Buddha spoke of.”
Nanako murmured, “Close your eyes and look at the entire universe? What you said is a bit abstract, I can’t quite understand it ……”
Venerable Jing Qing said, “Then the poor monk will put it in another way.”
After saying that, he said in a solemn and incomparable tone, “With your eyes open, you are just standing on the earth, looking at a piece of the sky in front of you, and when you close your eyes and enter the Unconscious Realm, the earth becomes a globe in front of you, with everything under your control and at your fingertips!”
Naiko frowned: “The method of inner peeping, I have fathomed out a little bit, but …… but there has never been that feeling of closing one’s eyes and looking at the universe ……”
Venerable Jing Qing exclaimed in shock, “The monk actually understands the method of internal voyeurism?”
Nai Nai Zi nodded her head and said, “A little bit, but I can’t really confirm if it’s really inner peeping.”
Venerable Master Jing Qing asked, “Can the mage tell the poor monk how she did it?”
Naiko thought for a moment and said, “I studied martial arts and used my true qi to run my entire body’s meridians, as if my entire body’s meridians were at my fingertips ……”
Venerable Master Jing Qing shook his head and said, “This is not considered to be true internal voyeurism, this can only be considered to be a kind of self-perception within the body, what one sees in this kind of internal voyeurism is one’s five viscera and six bowels, the meridians and dantians, as well as the Mud Pill Palace, whereas true internal voyeurism does not say that one can necessarily get to the point where one closes his eyes and looks at the universe in a panoramic view of all things, but also at least peeks at his own Violet Mansion, which is the true origin of the Divine Consciousness! ”
“Purple Mansion?” Nai Nai Zi asked doubtfully, “What is the Purple Mansion?”
Venerable Master Jing Qing said, “Although I study Buddhism, but peering into the Violet Mansion internally is the key to Daoist cultivation, the Violet Mansion is the place where cultivators store their aura and true essence in Daoist texts, but the Sea of Literacy, as stated in Buddhism, is also in the same Violet Mansion.”
“Sea of Literacy?” Nai Nai Zi was even more puzzled, “This concept …… I seem to have never heard of it.”
Venerable Jing Qing said, “The Lankavatara Sutra mentions that ‘The sea of hidden consciousnesses abides, moved by the winds of the realm. All kinds of waves of consciousness, leaping and transmigrating’, and what it says, is the Sea of Consciousness.”
Nai Nai Zi thought of something and suddenly exclaimed, “The Sea of Consciousness, is that boundless ocean that always pushes consciousness outward?”
Venerable Jing Qing asked with a horrified expression, “The monk can already feel that ocean? Is it a boundless, windless, and bottomless ocean?”
Nai Nai Zi nodded, “That’s right.”
Venerable Jing Qing excitedly blurted out, “That is the Ocean of Sense!”
After saying that, he then asked, “Did the mage find that sea of consciousness on his own?”
Nai Nai Zi thought for a moment, “Sort of, our martial arts master taught us that internal peeping is sensing the meridians and dantian, yet I somehow managed to reach that sea.”
